War in ukraine 2022 Russian Army OPTICAL Sight (from Kharkov Region - IZUM)
PGO-7V, index GRAU 1OP19-1 - a Soviet optical sight developed at the Tochpribor Central Design Bureau (Novosibirsk) to improve the accuracy of fire from RPG-7 and RPG-7D. Chief designer N.V. Khomenko.
Design
It is a set of optical elements with a prism turning system, placed inside a metal case. The housing is sealed and filled with dry nitrogen to prevent fogging of the lenses. The design of the sight has a reticle illumination system and a rangefinder scale, in addition, it is possible to enter lateral corrections and range corrections.
Reticle
The reticle consists of:
Sight scales (horizontal lines). The price of division of the scale of the sight is 100 meters, the scale of lateral corrections is 0–10 (10 thousandths). The scale limits of the sight are from 200 to 500 meters. The divisions (lines) of the sight scale are indicated by the numbers "2", "3", "4", "5", corresponding to firing ranges measured in hundreds of meters (200, 300, 400, 500 m).
Lateral correction scales (vertical lines). The divisions (lines) of the lateral correction scale are indicated below (to the left and right of the center line) by the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The distance between the vertical lines corresponds to ten thousandths (0–10).
Rangefinder scale (solid horizontal and curved dotted lines) to determine the distance to a target 2.7 meters high. The line of the scale corresponding to the range of 300 m, and the central line of the scale of lateral corrections are made double to facilitate the selection of the necessary divisions when aiming. In addition, the center line is extended below the scope scale to detect lateral tilt.
